Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026 · Last updated: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how the developer of TT Video Downloader (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the TT Video Downloader mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). By installing or using the Service you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- “Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, including identifiers such as an advertising ID or IP address where applicable law treats them as personal information.
- “Device Data” means technical information about your device and its software that the Service or its providers receive automatically.
- “Third-Party Services” means services provided by independent companies that are integrated into the Service, such as advertising, analytics, and crash-reporting providers.
- “Content” means videos, audio, and links that you request, download, or store using the Service.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
The Service does not require registration. The only information you actively provide is the URL of a public video that you paste, type, or share into the Service. We use that URL solely to retrieve the Content you requested.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device Data: device model, manufacturer, operating system and version, system language, time zone, screen characteristics, and app version.
- Identifiers: the Google Advertising ID (or a comparable resettable identifier), app instance identifiers, and installation identifiers.
- Network data: IP address, from which approximate geographic location (country or region) may be derived, and network type.
- Usage data: features accessed, interactions, session length, request and download outcomes, and error events.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, stack traces, and performance metrics.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise location, contacts, SMS, call history, microphone or camera data, or the contents of your photo library. We do not require access to any social media account.
3. Content stored on your device
Videos and audio files that you download are stored locally on your device, in the folder shown in the Service’s settings. We do not receive a copy of these files. They remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the Service, subject to the behavior of your operating system.
4. Purposes and legal bases for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we process Personal Data on the following bases:
- Performance of a contract – to provide the download and playback functions you request.
- Legitimate interests – to maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose errors, and improve the Service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent – for personalized advertising and for storing or accessing information on your device where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Legal obligation – where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
5. How we use information
- to operate, maintain, and deliver the Service and its features;
- to display advertising and measure its performance, including frequency capping and fraud detection;
- to analyze usage and trends in aggregated or pseudonymized form;
- to detect, investigate, and resolve crashes, bugs, and performance issues;
- to deliver remote configuration, such as enabling or adjusting features;
- to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, us, and others; and
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates Third-Party Services for advertising, analytics, and crash reporting, including Google AdMob and Firebase, together with the advertising partners that participate through them. These providers may collect Device Data, identifiers, and usage data, and may use cookies or similar technologies, as described in their own policies. They act as independent controllers or processors depending on the function. We do not control their practices. See Google’s advertising policy and Firebase privacy information.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The mobile application does not use browser cookies, but Third-Party Services may use software identifiers, local storage, SDK-based tracking, and similar technologies to provide advertising and analytics. This website itself does not set tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and browser information when a page is loaded.
8. Advertising and your choices
The Service is supported by advertising. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can control advertising on your device by:
- resetting your advertising ID or opting out of ads personalization in Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads (path varies by device);
- managing your consent choices in the Service where a consent prompt or privacy setting is offered, including for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland; and
- using industry opt-out tools such as optout.aboutads.info.
Opting out does not stop ads from being displayed, but they may be less relevant.
9. Permissions requested by the Service
- Network access – to retrieve Content, load ads, and transmit analytics and diagnostics.
- Storage and media access – to save, list, play, share, and delete downloaded Content. Scope depends on your Android version.
- Advertising ID – for advertising and measurement as described above.
- Clipboard – to detect and auto-fill a copied video link. Clipboard content is processed on the device, is not stored, and is ignored if it is not a supported link.
You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings, although some features may then stop working.
10. Disclosure of information
We may disclose information:
- to service providers and Third-Party Services that process it on our behalf or for the purposes above;
- to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request;
- to protect against fraud, abuse, or threats to security or safety;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy’s protections; and
- with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell Personal Data for money. Some jurisdictions treat the sharing of identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising as a “sale” or “share”. To the extent that applies, you may opt out as described in Sections 8 and 12.
11. Data retention
We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Data held by Third-Party Services is retained under their own schedules. Content on your device is retained until you remove it. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- access the Personal Data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate data and complete incomplete data;
- request deletion of your Personal Data;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests and direct marketing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of Personal Data and of targeted advertising;
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because the Service does not maintain user accounts, we may not be able to link a request to data held about you, and we may need information to verify your identity. Much of the relevant data is held by Third-Party Services and in your device settings. Send requests to the developer contact listed on Google Play (see Section 20). We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
13. Region-specific notices
13.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
The developer of TT Video Downloader is the controller of Personal Data processed directly by us. You have the rights listed in Section 12 and may complain to your supervisory authority.
13.2 California and other U.S. states
In the preceding 12 months we may have collected identifiers, internet or network activity, and approximate geolocation, as described in Section 2, for the business purposes in Section 5. We do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Data of consumers under 16. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with comparable laws may exercise the rights above and may appoint an authorized agent.
13.3 Other regions
Where local law (for example in Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, South Korea, or Australia) provides additional rights, we will honor them to the extent required.
14. International data transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful mechanisms.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit where supported. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for the security of your device.
16. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from them. If you believe a child has provided Personal Data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it and to ask Third-Party Services to do the same.
17. User responsibility and intellectual property
You are solely responsible for the Content you download and for how you use it. Download and use Content only where you own it or have permission, and in compliance with applicable law and the terms of the source platform. The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. We respond to valid notices of alleged infringement sent to the developer contact listed on Google Play (see Section 20).
18. Links to other sites and services
The Service and this website may link to third-party sites or apps, including advertisements. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
19. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the revised Policy.
20. Contact us
For questions, requests, or complaints about this Policy or our data practices, email appcavevision@gmail.com, or use the developer contact details listed on the TT Video Downloader page on Google Play.
